It's been a fantastic three years but it's time to finally put the old guy to rest.
This new redesign has been floating around my to do list for longer than I'd care to admit but I finally bit the bullet and decided on a redesign. I'm not sure how finished it is at this stage, but I'm happy enough with where it's at to leave it like this for now. The masthead doesn't compete with the old one, but it's a start. Consider it a temporary placeholder at the moment. I've got a few ideas with how to spruce them up a little bit, but they'll have to wait. For now I'm more concerned with the increased text size to make reading longer format posts gentler on the eye; a problem that became evident once I uploaded a few essays.
The new categories are being introduced over time (and resized imagery) and reflect the shift in direction I've been working on for the past year. Not too much, but enough to warrant a spring clean. Expect to see some interesting stuff going up here in the near future.
So long, old masthead, you will be sorely missed.
Update: Seems I was saying goodbye to my hard drive as well. Somewhat prophetic opening line there. Going to take a little bit longer than I thought in posting again. Ho hum.
