I seem to be a sucker for architecture models; something about taking photos of them appeals to my childish self. So I was amused with myself when I had the good fortune of stumbling across the Monash architecture students end of semester exhibition. I couldn't help snapping away at little pieces of design fiction and scenario planning. Some affordable housing here, a little bit of form and light studies here. But the neatest part was the Caribou Enclosure as part of a class that looked at at the Zoo as its topic. Unfortunately, I didn't think to look at the student name, but I happily snapped up as much as I could of this piece. The mix of laser cut wood hills and angular cardboard structure was a welcome change from the other solutions (not that there was anything wrong with them, mind you). The rest of this exhibition should be up on flickr in the coming days.
