I've been feeling guilty for not posting as much as before, but just palmed it off to being busy at moving houses, starting a new business venture, and getting used to my new mac. I swore to myself yesterday that I was going to pile stuff into here, but instead got sidetracked again by iPhoto (best photo management software ever) last night. Tonight I said to myself, tonight, I would have a quick dinner and get stuck into it like nothing else.
I took a heap of photos at the Museum of Printing that I was going to upload. A few more interior and detail shots, but I also took a whole heap of shots of the beautiful wood type that I've been cleaning and polishing for the past few weeks. I also spent an hour archiving (and by archiving I mean taking photos of almost every page) a Linotype users manual that I was going to post on flickr. I was set, and I was going to get busy tonight. To my irritation, I realised that I had taken every single photo on the lowest possible setting (for mobile phones) and all the photos were useless. Accepting the waste of time I moved on and decided to scan all of the advertising plates that I had printed at the Museum (for archival purposes) and was going to post them here and at flickr. But, because of my new computer, the bloody scanning software doesn't work, and I can't get it to do anything. I was also planning to have a tinker with gogle's my maps, so I could have a luttle map widget in the side bar here so I could geotag all of my photos of signage and whatnot, thus providing a way of looking at melbournes typestyles area by area, but because my stupid internet download limit has been reached, its too slow to bother, and keeps on timing out anyway.
So.....
