Have you ever looked at the Edward Hopper painting Nighthawks, and wondered why Marilyn Monroe, Humphrey Bogart and James Dean aren't in it. Only to then realise that you're looking at the original painting, not the fifties celebrity remix version. I get that same feeling whenever I look at beautiful brush script, trying to figure out why it doesn't look like any House font that I've seen before (brush or script).
These are on the dodgy as hell hot food place at South Yarra station just as you walk in. I used frequent there at six in the mornings for awhile as I made my way to an underpaid overworked deli job at Prahran Market. I'd get the egg and bacon sandwich with the worst one dollar coffee in the world. I can't complain though, it set me up for the day and made the freezing walk to the market bearable with some warm crud in hand.
Colophon: Turns out even Second Life gets in on the referential Hopper recreations.
